OUR HISTORY
Founded in 2014 by Apostle De’Angelo Boone, City of Refuge Ministries International began with a vision to create a ministry where people could encounter Christ, grow in faith, discover their purpose, and experience meaningful support within their community. What began as a growing ministry in Adrian, Michigan, has developed into a church committed to spiritual growth, community outreach, and holistic service.
Throughout its journey, CRMI has remained dedicated to meeting people where they are and serving both spiritual and practical needs. Through worship, discipleship, volunteerism, community partnerships, and initiatives such as the Meal Assistance Program of Lenawee County, CRMI continues to extend its reach beyond the walls of the church.
Today, City of Refuge Ministries International continues to grow as a place of faith, hope, service, and transformation—welcoming individuals and families to grow together, serve others, and live out their God-given purpose.

As the Founder and Lead Pastor of City of Refuge Ministries International, Apostle Boone provides visionary leadership, spiritual guidance, and faithful service to the church and its community. With a heart for people and a passion for seeing lives transformed, he is committed to teaching God’s Word, developing leaders, and creating a ministry where individuals can grow in faith, discover their purpose, and experience the love of Christ.

Serving alongside our pastor and leadership team, Elder Chris Carter helps support the vision of the ministry, provide spiritual guidance, strengthen the church family, and assist in creating meaningful opportunities for worship, fellowship, and service. He is committed to ensuring that everyone feels at home here at City of Refuge Ministries International.
